Zelda Ocarina Of Time FAQs

The 4 Bottles

In this game, there are 4 bottles scattered across Hyrule. As you probably know, bottles are used for carrying objects such as small creatures or liquids, and can be incredibly useful in many other ways. They are obtained by completing quests, trading goods, and just plain finding them.

The first bottle is in Kakariko Village, in possesion of Anju the Cucco Lady. To get the bottle, you must wander Kakariko to find all seven of the wayward Cuccos and get them all into the pen behind Anju. After all seven Cuccos are in the pen, talk to Anju to recieve your Empty Bottle.

The second bottle can be obtained at Lon Lon Ranch. Immediately turn to your left after entering the ranch and go in the door. You'll find Talon sleeping, surrounded by Cuccos. To get the bottle you must win a game of "Super Cuccos" where you must find the three Super Cuccos out of the normal Cuccos before time runs out. To make this a lot easier, throw all the chickens on the step behind Talon before starting. After you win a round you win be rewarded with a bottle of Lon Lon Milk, which can be drank and emptied for further use.

The third bottle can only be obtained if you have reached a certain point in the plot, and must be gained to continue the game. A Silver Scale is necessary to find this bottle. You get the Silver Scale from the Zora atop of the waterfall in Zora's Domain. Once you have it, go to Lake Hylia and look along the lake bed for a bottle with a letter in it. Dive down and retrieve it; the letter it contains is vital to the story. Once the letter is removed, you can keep the bottle.

The fourth and final bottle can be obtained as Adult Link, with the Fairy Bow and Epona. The Poe salesman outside Castle Town (where the guard with the pots was as Young Link) will pay you 50 Rupees and 100 points for every Big Ghost you sell him. The Big Poes can be found across Hyrule Field while on Epona, they are easily killed with two shots of the Fairy Bow, and you can collect the Big Poe in an Empty Bottle if you approach it and talk to it. After you get 1000 points (Collect all ten Big Poes) he will give you an empty bottle.
